Outfits I can’t wait to wear when lockdown is over

May 16, 2020

Hey guys, Hope you are all well.

Dress – Bershka | Jacket – ASOS

The first of many bedroom shoots… category is ‘Outfits I can’t wait to wear when lockdown is over’. Let’s talk about this dress, I got it back in February in Bershka in Cardiff. (it’s still available via ASOS). It’s the perfect smart casual dress for spring-summer. The fit is bodycon which makes it perfect for nights out, cocktails bars but styled in the right way because of the print it can still work so well for weddings and summer parties.

We all know how much I adore eighties fashion. This dress screams eighties style to me, without being a fancy dress costume. It’s those shoulders, even though I could style it simply why not go all out, white boots, acrylic earnings and a bright blazer style jacket like this beauty also from ASOS. If we weren’t in lockdown this would be a bit much for calm Falmouth but god I can’t wait to go dancing in this outfit, and not just in my room.

I’m really enjoying being more creative with photography. I normally find shooting really hard if we aren’t going anywhere exciting for the day then I don’t really try and get my boyfriend to shoot and simply would not shoot for ages. Being in lockdown has forced me to be more creative. I first started this blog with a tripod trying on clothes in my childhood bedroom (my parents have lived in two different houses since which shows how long ago that was). It was totally acceptable back in 2013 when there was no competition and everyone was just sharing their outfit via self-timer – the world has changed so much since then and all the successful bloggers are creating content on the scale of an editorial in vogue. Yet being stuck in lockdown wanting to create content I thought why not bring it back. Obviously my camera is much better than it was in 2012 and the confidence is there now. Even though I usually only shoot with my boyfriend there is something, even more, freeing about shooting on your own it really doesn’t matter how silly the photos come out. I still hate shooting in crowded areas so who knows these style images might stick around long after lockdown.

Who else has their first night out after lockdown outfit ready? Oh just me

Love Charlotte, xxx
