Stepping into Spring style

March 23, 2021

Hey guys, the transition from winter style to spring style is so fun. Even though I am usually all about winter fashion – The options for layering, pattern clashing are endless but with my love of knitwear its, the ultimate season for style meets comfort. A part of me dreads the time to get my summer crop tops and shorts out of storage and hideaway my knitwear so I will hold on to these weeks of transitional style while I can.

The key for Winter to Spring style for me is about adding spring colours and prints to winter outfits. Cornwall can still be incredibly cold so while all the stylish gals on my Instagram feed are rocking crop tops with light jackets on my feed – I’m not quite there yet.

spring style, spring outfit,

Gingham may be one of the biggest trends of the season and these trousers from Oest London are perfect. They will see me through with knitwear now in March to crop tops in August. The other great thing is they have an elasticated waist for working from home. I 100% think if you are looking for just one new piece for S/S this year I recommend some light comfy gingham trousers.

Another huge tip to ease into a new season and those trends is to play with the accessories. Last year statement collars were a huge trend. They aren’t going anywhere so its a perfect way to have a bit more fun while still needing to layer a little bit. Adding a hint of spring colours aka pastels whether its lilac, baby pinks or yellows in the accessories is the best way to start. Here I’m adding a third print with this lilac snake print bag from Hvisk . As well as bringing another hint to the gingham with this perfectly matching scrunchie from Scrag it up.

So if like me you dread crop tops and love your knitwear lets enjoy spring style together. Just have fun with pastels, ginghams – or of course florals. Have fun with adding a pop of colour and playing around with the accessories until its really warmer. I hope you love this comfy, colourful look as much as me. Love Charlotte xxx
