Autumn Trend wishlist

September 30, 2020

Hey guys, so we are well into the new season. Autumn is my favourite season for fashion and this year’s autumn trends are amaing. There are so many amazing colour, trends and pieces everywhere this coming season. I thought I’d make this wishlist similarly to my summer one but adding some mood boards and trend ideas for you.

Autumn trend 1 – Sweater vests

The main turned this year is Sweater vests. The started appearing all over TikTok in the Spring and have slowly made their way to the high street. Marks and Spencers had some amazing ones over the summer (which you may still find in the sale). They are perfect for layering over t-shirts, button-up shirts and thinner knits. Also, they look amazing being vintage. Here are a few of my favourites on this high street

Striped – Mango | Purple and green – Arket | Floral – Zara

Autumn trend 2 – Cardigans

Blue collar – Zara | Purple floral – Zara | Purple – Monki

Cardigans are a big trend, all over everyone’s Instagram (House of Sunny’s DayBreak I am looking at you). This is the trend I am least excited for, I am not a huge fan of cardigans – in all honesty, I don’t think I own a single one but I may get converted this season. Cardigans are exciting now, in pretty pastel colours, with big statement collars you name it but they definitely aren’t borning any more.

Colour Pallete – Purple and green

purple, purple and green, autumn trend,

We all know my favourite colour is purple and it often comes round in the Autumn. This year purple is huge from knitwear to dresses and shirts. Monochrome is also a big trend so all purple looks if you are brave enough but there are also some fabulous combos like Purple and Green paired together is going to massive. I don’t have much green in my wardrobe but seeing it paired with purple so well it is a new favourite.

Dress 1 – Zara | Dress 2 – Zara | Top – ASOS

Autumn trend 3 – Flares

Once again this is not a new trend. Flares have arguably been getting big for over a year now. Another vintage inspired trend is amaizng becuase there are so many fabuous second hand options out there. The 70s queen inside me is so happy this is such a big trned however it is very hard to find flares that don’t drag along the floor wiht my short legs.

Paisley – Nasty Gal | Purple – Daisy Street | Black petite – Bershka

This is just a few of the trends this season that I have become obsessed with however some honourable mentions must go to the continuation of the leather trend. Whether it’s leather blazers, leather trousers or skirts this is a big trend that always comes around for A/W. The western influence is still here with boots and shirts inspired by cowboy style. Finally, the statement collar trend is still here as seen on some knitwear above, I did a full blog post on styling the collar trend here.

What autumn trend are you most excited for this season? Love Charlotte xxx
