A seventies summer staycation

July 15, 2020

Hey guys, hope you are well.

shrimps, shrimps jumpsuit,
shrimps, shrimps jumpsuit, seventies summer style,

In some ways, lockdown is easing now and we are adjusting to the ‘new normal’. Technically people are able to travel abroad again but in reality, this summer is all about staying as local as possible. Which is fine with me, I haven’t been abroad in over 4 years and live for the staycation.

Not going on actual holidays can take the pressure of our summer wardrobes – normally people buy new outfits just for their holiday but this year it’s all about rediscovering the old favourites. I have a number of summer dresses and playsuits that come to say hi every summer when it’s super hot which isn’t often so they may only get worn once or twice a year therefore still in tip-top condition.

This hat is one of those classics, it’s so big usually gets worn once a year on my holiday and then never again until next years holiday. This jumpsuit is a depop find originally from the Warehouse x Shrimps collab. The halter neck top gives with the wide legs gives it a fabulous seventies feel and the print full of lil summer illustrations or shells, jellyfish and other seaside drawings. Shrimps are all about the seventies California style but way out of anyone’s price range, I am not quite sure how I missed this collaboration with Warehouse when it first came out but now I am on the depop hunt for the whole collection. What could sum up my style more the perfect blend between the seventies and seaside influences?

Whats your favourites high street and designer collaboration?

Love Charlotte xxx
