Hey guys,
I am a bit behind with this as we are slowly easing out of lockdown but over the last three months, we have been talking about how we will change the way we shop, ‘no one will buy new clothes to stay at home’ and they did but only loungewear. Well, I for one am not a fan of loungewear. I’ve been working from home for over two months and am finding it so useful to still get creative with my outfits while being super comfy. No joggers insight.

Look one – For the perfect work from home look, you’ll need some semi-formal trousers but with an elasticated waist. These are from Urban Outfitters and work with a shirt for the office normally but with the loose fit and elasticated waist tucking in a graphic tee is a winner. Super comfy but a really fun option for lounging around.

Look two – Now I have pretty much been living in these jeans, I call them my maternity jeans but they are just super wide-leg jeans from Topshop. They go with everything for around the house – jumpers, crop tops, bandeaus and they are the comfiest things ever. Adding a printed cami top like this zebra print number takes these looks up a level and makes you feel much more put together but in all honestly I normally just have a fleece over the top.

Look three – another look that I wore loads before lockdown but take off the tights, heels and accessories and its super comfy, the beauty of really cheap fast-fashion fabrics means they have a lot of stretch so even a slip dress feels like pjs. Sizing up on garments like these give them a little more room which means ultimate comfort. So once again its a little more put together (thanks to the lace trim) than the usual loungewear.

Look four – Another look I wore a lot last summer dressed up with heels and a big necklace but strip it back and you have a winner for a lockdown heatwave look, it lockdown so I don’t want to be sat in restrictive denim shorts while working (I hate them at the best of times) so this has been the perfect light comfy look. Both the skirt and body have a lot of stretch to them which is a winner

Look five – For my final look I have mastered the girls night in look, those wine nights on zoom – its nice to still get a bit dressed up on the weekend in lockdown but again I just want to be comfy. So this jumpsuit has been a godsend, I got it in the Monki sale for £8 and with an elasticated waistband, wide legs it’s like PJs for drinks. I wore this for my birthday lockdown which was perfect. Plus I love the 80s print its very fun.
Most of these items are old and out of stock but here are some similar items for you to peruse.
How has you wardrobe changed in lockdown? Are you still getting dressed up or loungewear for life?
