Hey guys, we are well into Autumn now and I kind of thought it was too late to share these photos but why not.

Confidence, in general, is a tricky one. Everyone has a different experience with it. I’ve never known how to write about my experiences without ignoring how everyone else feels. However, I’ll waffle my way through it as usual because it’s so important.

Especially at uni, it would make me so sad hearing girls be so critical about themselves in ridiculous ways. As we’d be getting ready for nights out I’d always feel like it was cool but all of my friends looked better than me. It’s heartbreaking when you all look 10/10 but people are making comments like “Oh I look like a rat”. It goes without saying I wish they could see what I see.

I find it hard to pinpoint when or how I found confidence. Throughout school, I was always bottom of the social chain. During Primary school I was bullied I had goofy teeth, you get headlice once and no one forgets etc. I had my three best friends at that was enough. Secondary school was similar I wasn’t bullied as such but very much still bottom of the social ladder. I was intimidated by everyone but some of the ‘friends’ I had could make me feel worse than the popular people.
Throughout school I felt lost about who I was I didn’t quite fit in with the emo kids but didn’t feel good around other friends it was weird. At the start of school, I was such a teacher’s pet but I slowly lost that motivation too. But somewhere between college and starting uni I did a lot of growing up.I had this blog, discovered a lot of different online communities that made me realise I wasn’t alone and slowly I developed confidence.

I learnt to love my own company to the point where I find myself funny, love being alone and really appreciate all of the things that make me different.
I love how pale I am. I love my goofy teeth, my music taste that is mainly cheesy 80s music and how loud I am. Normalise the things that make you you! The most important thing I learnt to appreciate is how we are all different is what makes you so cool. I essentially learnt to love all of the things about me that everyone used to laugh at for being weird.
Please gass your friends up, gass your self up and go forth to make Lizzo proud. As Lizzo once said “You’re going to look this way for the rest of your life. And you have to be OK with that”.

I am absolutely loving the bikini – you are rocking it! I have also always been self-conscious but I’ve mustered up the courage to buy bikinis for the first time in a while to look forward to the summer even though I don’t have the body of a model haha x
