Hey guys, Jewellery is a beautiful thing, it has always been the most sentimental part of a woman’s wardrobe. Some jewellery is special such as an engagement ring, some can be part of a costume.
I see jewellery as an extension of you, I have often gone through phases of a uniform, bracelets up my arm I never took off though school. The silver rings I’ve collected over the years to go on each morning as a uniform this kind of jewellery is a more subtle extension of you no matter where you are going or what your outfit is it stays the same.
I am a huge weirdo and it took me 22 years to get my ears pierced so earnings are still a bit of a novelty to me and in the last year I have collected an array of different styles. Last year I was all about the classic, understated and simple earnings and now I am going for the statement earnings in full swing.
I thought I’d share with you a mix of my everyday pieces that I’m never without and the newest pieces in my collection.
I have recently discovered so many small slow fashion businesses on Instagram and obsessing over them but with slow fashion, the pieces are more expensive and should be considered purchases so jewellery is a more affordable way to shop handmade, slow fashion brands on a budget. So I thought I’d share my favourite brands (of course most of them are Cornish)
Bloma is a beautiful jewellery brand specialising in earrings, necklaces and barrettes with a vintage style. I received these for my birthday admittedly the brown (Autumn Daisy) is not the most wearable colourway for my wardrobe but they are so beautiful. They go beautifully with an array of summer dresses, perfect for picnics. The Cottage core vibes are real. the new collection is around fruit and veg which is even more adorable.
Until dawn is a Cornish brand that specialises in Festival accessories and vintage-inspired jewellery. Think embellished jackets and top hats perfect for the masked ball with a touch of Stevie Nicks. I’ve loved Until Dawn for a while now and when I saw her experimenting with these 80s clay earrings on Instagram stories I was so excited. I don’t think anyone could have designed a pair of earrings that encapsulates me more. (These shots aren’t product images and don’t show them off well, blame the self-timer with no screen shooting situation). A hand made clay panel, leopard print in bright purple and pink then wait for it a glitter lightning bolt. It’s the most garish 80s statement every jewellery collection needs. (the exact design is sold out but these are similar)
Nymph Studios jewellery is handcrafted in Belgium made with freshwater pearls among the beautiful pieces. They arrive in the most wonderful shell jewellery box. The necklaces are just beautiful but so far as is the theme of this post I have just treated myself to some earings. These are a wonderful everyday gold hood with a tiny hint of pink and red which is still everyone’s favourite colour combo right?
Daisy London is a bit of a cheat here as its arguably not a small businesses but I had to share this ring with you all, its the Isla Fossil Ring with 18Ct gold plate(PR product). Living in Cornwall there is a lot of jewellery inspired by the sea but its either sea glass or your classic touristy beach shop surf jewellery so when I spotted this ring I was in love. I’ve never seen such a detailed design like it before, the intricate shells and starfish, from afar it just looks like a beautiful gold ring but up close it gets even better.
Lazy Disco is one of my favourite jewellery brands I’ve discovered on Instagram. The brand is so distinctive the graphic style is instantly recognisable. I had my eye on so many pieces from the range but I impulsively bought these as they are the most on-brand thing ever. Purple and Orange is a controversial colour combo that I really took a risk with my logo design so these adorable 70s style flowers in my blog’s colours were too cool to not buy if I do say so myself. The other wonderful thing about Lazy Disco is the customisation, most of the earings come with the choice of hoops or clips. When a new collection drops it usually sells out pretty fast so follow their Instagram so you don’t miss out on a new drop.
Locks and Ashes (#gifted) are relatively new to the scene cornish brand. Everything is so affordable. The brand’s main focus is around sentimental jewellery, using sea glass and other cornish pieces. My favourite is the range of V drop sterling silver earrings, these anchor ones are beautiful. They are so wearable and a lovely balance between a hoop earring and a stud, really classy but a little bit more exciting. I want them in the hearts, stars, just the lot really.
Another wonderful Cornish brand. If you live in Cornwall you’ll have seen Best makes around. My go-to for colourful handmade jewellery their range is so diverse there is just too much to choose from. I have a number of Best Makes pieces but my favourite are these silver hoops with purple clay gems on – really wearable but so unique.
Cosmic Cactus Co is my favourite clay earning brand. Owned and handmade by Brea, the Instagram is insane you will want them all. Each design is made one of a kind. If pastel colour tones are your thing this will be the perfect brand from this list for you. These cute blue speckled earnings were a birthday present (similar ones here)
Possibly saving the best to last. These Celestial Moon and Star’s (#gifted) are my favourite – they are the perfect statement earring as they are neutral they’ll go with every outfit. But the star and moon are just so cute and I feel so confident in them. I’d never seen anything like them before, I’m just obsessed.

I seem to change my earnings every day depending on the outfit and how I am feeling but as you can see the rest of my jewellery stays pretty consistent every day. My watch I’ve had over five years now and I still love it so much from Olivia Burton. I have on silver star necklace I wear no matter what from Inhabit. Then my rings – oh I just adore my staple silver rings. Most of which I have no clue where I’ve gathered them from markets, vintage shops etc but I do know the silver opal ring is from Silver Origins in St.Ives. These pieces are part of my uniform and I feel weird on the rare occasion I do leave the house without them.
