Bristol Event Guide – Christmas Edition

September 25, 2025

Hey guys, the countdown to Christmas is officially on, so to get you feeling really festive, here’s a look at all the Christmassy things taking place across the city this winter.

Windmill Hill Market / Every single Saturday Windmill Hill Farm in Bedminster is transformed into a wonderful market. It’s free entry and an ideal day out either with kids or friends. Each week there’s new makers to visit, local street food to try and musical entertainment all while visiting the wonderful community farm. This is a go-to for me and my friends to catch up and discover some new local businesses.

Skuna / from 21st Nov – Skuna are bringing their pop up sunas to Bristol’s harbourside for a limited 4-week run this Christmas. The experience will take place across two beautifully crafted sauna boats, each featuring spacious wood-clad interiors, panoramic harbour views, and soothing ambient heat. One boat will be permanently docked at the Bristol Amphitheatre as a community sauna, while the other will be available for public and private hire to sail along the harbourside. It sounds like such a fun way to unwind, watching the views from the harbourside from inside a suna, what a unique experience. Find out more here.

Christmas at Wapping Wharf / 27th Nov – Get in the festive spirit as the Wapping Wharf community comes together for an evening of late-night shopping, carols, mulled wine and even a visit from Father Christmas himself. I haven’t missed this evening once since moving to Bristol; it’s always such a wholesome evening.

The Christmas Spiegeltent / from 27th Nov – When the Spiegeltent lands back on the harbour, you know Christmas is nearly here. This year, they are hosting another great line-up of events, from comedy shows like Flo & Joan to parties like the Symphonica Orchestra: Ibiza Classics. No matter what takes your fancy its just a treat to spend an evening in such a unique venue. Find the full line up and grab tickets here.

Festive Workshops with Silver & Steel / from 23rd Nov – Silver & Steel are hosting a range of festive workshops this season alongside their usual beginners jewellery making classes and workshops. It’s something a little different to a wreath-making workshop. Find out more and find the full list of events at Silver & Steel here.

Shake XL Market / 30th November – The best art market of the year returns with another stacked line-up of incredible artists and makers, this time at Shredenhams (yes, that’s the skatepark in the old Debenhams building).

Christmas at Clifton Observatory / This year, the iconic Clifton Observatory have a wonderful line-up of festive events, we are talking wreath-making workshops and Christmas candlelight yoga, perfect for a festive evening with friends or a series of Santa’s brunches at the observatory for the kids. Find the full range of events here.

Bristol Old Vic / 4th Dec – This Christmas, Bristol Old Vic has a real treat in store with a brand new musical adaptation of the classic tale, Treasure Island! The classic adventure we know and love, we beautiful songs and Bristol’s very own Jayde Adams making her stage debut, it’s set to be a great Christmas show. On from 4th Dec until 10th Jan, tickets available here!

Fox & Feather Christmas shopping / 4th Dec – The annual late-night shopping event at my favourite boutique is back. Head to Gloucester Road for a wonderful evening of nibbles, celebrations and getting lots of presents (for others or yourself, no one is checking).

A weekend of markets / 6th – 7th December – There is so much happening across the city on the 6th and 7th December. Head to Underfall Yard for their Christmas fair with music, its a great way to support the restoration of the yard too. Estate of the Arts are hosting their annual market and open studios which is always so much fun. Over in St. Werburghs its city farm fair time, another great day out for the family with markets, food and lots of live music.

Lucky Dip Christmas Market / 13th December – Lucky Dip is from the same team behind Shake XL, but this time with a focus on Markers rather than just artists and prints. This is THE market of the year for all the handmade goodies, such as jewellery and pottery. I am going to spend all my money here as usual.

Beers and Carols / 18th Dec 6 pm-9 pm This might be THE Christmas event in Bristol, gather your mates and head to collage green for the annual Beer and Carols night, Bristol Beer Factory are providing the pints, while Bristol Cathedral lead us in traditional (and a few modern) carols. It’s such a lovely nod to Christmases growing up at Church without going to a Sunday morning service.

New Year’s Eve This New Year’s Eve, the legends at Team Love at throwing a mini Love Saves the Day party at Prospect Building, what a line-up and what a treat to get a mini Love Saves during the winter season. Plus, you can save £10 on tickets with my ambassador link here! You are welcome!

As always, I’ll be updating this with more events throughout the season, so keep an eye out. Thank you for reading.
