Christmas Gift Guide

December 9, 2016
Hey Guys,

I am so excited about this post, gift guides are one of my favourite things to read and watch on youtube yet I don’t think I have ever written my own before.
I have been in the Christmas spirit pretty much since November regardless of uni deadlines and work and have quickly finished my Christmas shopping, well apart from my dad but that is fine for this post.

First category is books – I love receiving books for Christmas, even if you aren’t into fiction so many cute gifty coffee table books are around now. Here are four I’d recommend giving this year.
The little book of Hygge – a mini guide for someone who is interested in this concept or likes anything to do with clean living
Pocket Bowie Wisdom – a cute book full of cutes from David Bowie…who isn’t a Bowie fan right?
Girl up by Laura Bates – Laura Bates is the amazing lady behind ‘Everyday sexism’ and this book is SO good, its a really light hearted easy read about feminism yet still very informative… full of illustrations too which is always a winner.
Coco Chanel Life Portraits – this is such a cute illustrated book that tells Chanel’s story and the history of the company is really beautiful illustrations.

Everyone needs a luxury perfume, one for occasion’s and this can be a tricky one to buy as choosing a perfume is a personal decision but my personal favourite is Valentino’s Valentina, its a very classic floral scent yet not too girlie but the bottle is so beautiful (even better with more flowers on the bigger bottle)
Jewellery, can’t go wrong again ranges like freedom at topshop and the miss selfridge range are great for on trend affordable pieces.
Make – up other than the obvious amazing selections of make up gift sets (personally boots are the star in this department) individual make up products are still great at Christmas, for stocking fillers and little extras the key product at the moment that every girl needs is a good highlighter and this is my favourite from Makeup revolution
Finally I recommend an iron on patch or pin badge, these are everywhere (one pictured is from Urban Outfitters) a great place to look is Etsy, I am hoping for a Stranger things inspired patch.

Finally two standard Christmas present essentially are lots of Christmas chocolate and cute socks (these ones are from New Look which are on 3 for 2)
I also wanted to mention my love for all the mini party games in Christmas gift ranges (M&S, supermarkets and Debenham’s are usually great) – who doesn’t want to drunkenly play 80’s game shows like catchphrase after the Christmas dinner right?
The cooper star light shown in the first few pictures is from New Look’s home wear range which just keeps improving and the cute red reindeer is available here.
I hope you enjoyed this post, in the comments please link me to your favourite gift guide posts as weirdly this year I am struggling to know what I want for Christmas.

P.S Please excuse the hideous quality of these photos, I am really annoyed with my photography here and by the time I came to notice I had wrapped half of the presents shown.
