Print on print - Style post

Hey Guys,

Spring is here and I am not into ditsy florals in pastel shades, the stereotypical florals however you have to have some form of florals in your wardrobe and this is mine.

I adore everything about it and normally I hate both maxi / midi dresses and florals but this is just so bloody cool.

The hot pink with bright yellow, blue and red is amazing then what obviously draw me to it is the pop of animal print on the waist. I saw this back in November on ASOS from reclaimed vintage and could not stop thinking about it. Then Michael pulled it out of the bag and surprised me with it for Christmas.
I wore it just for special occasions at first, I wore it with a black turtle neck underneath for my fancy meal out to celebrate my new job and wore it for Mikes birthday but now I am going to get so much more use out of it going into summer. It seems I was really early onto a big trend.
I'm sure you've also seen these refreshing takes on floaty, maxi dresses appearing everywhere.
I am obsessed with the print on print trend but not quite confident enough to just clash bold printed pieces together like my fave Megan Ellaby can.
Megan has also been through a similar journey with a dress that is now everywhere by Rixo (pictured on Megan below) that has very similar elements to it just very different colours. Then there is one on Topshop that has sold out that gives me similar vibes too (they have also just released the same sellout dress in mini style if maxi's aren't ya thing).

I am loving these dresses as they are both a refreshing take on the spring floral dress but also a super easy way to try out the clashing print trend.
I already can't wait to style this a bit more creatively with my white cowboy boots (I got some last summer, hardly wore them so left them at my parents' house back in Cardiff  before moving here and now they are a massive thing so I need to get mine back) and a zebra print bag.

Love Charlotte
