Top looks of the Oscar's 2016 - Fashion

Hey guys,

Just a quick post today to share with you my favourite red carpet looks from last nights Academy Awards.
I never used to get excited about the Oscar's because I never used to be interested in the kind of films that get talked about at award season but of course I loved seeing the dresses.
This year there have been so many good films I want to see coming out and some of these were Oscar worthy.

First the dresses......

Brie Larson in Gucci
This dress got really mixed reviews with some people not loving the ruffle's but I adore it, the colour is beautiful and she looks so beautiful.

Cate Blanchett in Armani
This is definitely one of the big winners for me this year, the colour is so beautiful and the detailing is like a work of art. It is such as unique dress that not everyone could pull of but of course Cate Blanchett could and she always just oozes confidence which maybe another reason that no matter what she is wearing she looks amazing.

Dorith Mous
I have to admit that before last night I had not heard of Dorith Mous but I love this dress - it's like a Gothic wedding dress so dreamy and delicate.

 Daisy Ridley in Chanel
Daisy Ridley just looks amazing, so sophisticated, such a beautiful dress.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior
Just beautiful black lace is one of my favourite looks at the moment and this dress has the perfect amount of sexiness while still keeping it classy for the Oscar's

Margot Robbie in DVF
The golden sequin classic number for the red carpet done right she looks like a dream.

Rooney Mara in Givenchy
I think this dress was a bit of a risk a light grey lace with a midriff cut out and a long slit but some how Rooney Mara has made it work and she looks amazing.

Finally my winner is Naomi Watts in Armani Prive
The colour palette is enough to make me love this dress purples with hints of pink and blue is just my favourite but also the mermaid effect on the skirt and amount of sequins this also has potential to look super tacky but she just looks perfect and I want this dress (well all of the dresses on my list, lets be honest) in my life, I have no where to wear a dress like this but it is just so beautiful.

Film wise I had only seen a few of the films nominated (The Danish girl, Inside out and Amy) So I haven't seen enough to make informed opinions on who should win what but I was rooting for Brie Larson (so deserved) or Cate Blanchett for best actress, Leo Dicaprio for best actor (yay). I also wanted Mark Ruffalo or Tom Hardy to win best supporting and Alicia Vindikar(the real star of The Danish girl). I really wanted Room to win best picture but Spotlight is getting a lot of bad media and people are shocked that it won best picture however it was my second favourite to win and I have heard it was amazing. Amy and Inside out both one for their categories which I am so happy about.

Who were you favourite looks from this years Oscar's, did I miss anyone out or put a dress on this list that you really didn't like, let me know in the comments? Also let me know you one stand-out film that was nominated for anything at the Oscar's

LFW look 1 - Style post

Hey Guys,

For my uni course last week we headed to London for the last few days of fashion week. I have a lot of posts planned from my trip mostly from the exhibitions I also went to see and the street style I spotted but obviously I took a few of my own outfit photos.
This look is from Monday when we spent the morning at Brewer street car park, the main venue for LFW this year then we headed to the Tate Modern for Christopher Kane and we shot these after by the Thames with St.Pauls Cathedral in the background across the river.

Top - Zara
Trousers - Zara
Jacket - borrowed from a friend
Bag - Tk Maxx
Watch - Olivia Burton

I love all black with a hint of colour in top, it's something I've been wearing a lot recently although I love this outfit I did feel like I was dressed for a job interview and not fashion week.

New hair - Lifestyle

Hey guys,

Dying my hair bold colours has always been something I've wanted to do but always been too afraid. For many reasons, my parents, school teacher and whether it would suit me or not.
I was always inspired by Hayley Williams' ever changing beautiful hair then most recently one of my favourite bloggers Zoe London's hair has been the main influence for me finally biting the bullet and experimenting with my hair.
I wanted to go purple but on the pink side which I am now really happy with.

This is the final outcome which I adore and am so happy with. For this I used Live colour in Punk Purple.

This was my first attempt using a wash out lilac dye from the Pixie paint range that is exclusive to Superdrug but this just did not take to my hair at all. I was so unaware of how easy it is to home dye.

(my natural hair colour just to compare)

Let me know what you think about my dramatic new hair?
