What I got for Christmas 2014!

Hey Guys,

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas.
I know not everyone enjoys or agrees with this posts but personally I love to read them and I did it last year  so once again I thought I'd share with you what goodies I received this year for Christmas.

I had Let It Snow which is a collection of three festive stories written by different authors, We were Liars by E.Lockhart which I have heard so much about and The Godess Guide from my best friend which I am so excited about. The fault in our stars then two slightly more random films I found in my stocking I had mentioned to my dad and brother how this version of Romeo and Juliet is really good and would be enjoyable for them so apparently I got it and I had been asking about Sweeny Todd as I am a massive fan of films like Edward Sissorhands and BeetleJuice and apparently this is a classic too but once I realised it once an 18 I wasn't sure as I hate anything kinda scary, if you've seen it let me know if I should watch it. Finally there is Ed Sheerans new album I am a massive fan, apparently I also have Taylor Swifts 1989 but it never arrived in time.

So much chocolate and believe it or not I had already eaten some by this point opps!!

The beauty bits!! I had this Soap and Glory set from Ffion, the purple eye shadows and nail varnish from my little brother. I actually choose the foundation and powder for Santa, I have heard so much about the True Match foundation so I can't wait to try it. Santa also suprised we with this Fearne Cotten nails varnish set and a Look pallete in the shade Rock Chick which is interesting!

I was shocked to see this in my room from Santa!! Dad was really convincing in telling me he didn't bother getting it this year. I had it two years ago I think and it was very different stuff inside. I am not too keen on the orange and citrus scents I would rather it all be in the famous 'soap and glory scent' but I'm really excited about it!

These were a few of the odd bits in my stocking! I am obsessed with this Alice in Wonderland candle, it's vinilla scent and has a quote on the other side. I had this really nice star necklace and the poshest ruler I have ever seen (I realise calling something posh automatically makes it less posh). Mum had then remembered how much I have wanted to try Burts Bees so got this little gift set.

This is the cutest shoe box ever!!

Some clothes, both of my friend Eve as well as the book! A shirt from Jack Will and a black cami from New Look.

My main present this yeah was the canon   1200D with a kit lens and a 75-300mm zoom lens. I had wanted to take the jump from my bridge to a DSLR for ages now and as I am not studying photography at A Level my grandparents agreed. I ideally wanted one with a flip screen but as the 600D is discontinued and they are much more than this one I choose this. I took these photos with it although I'm still getting to grips with it but hopefully there will be an imrovment in my photography now.

I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know in the comments what you had for Christmas!

Merry Christmas

Hey Guys and a Very merry Christmas to you all!!

I am just writing a short post to wish you all well, show my decorations and to talk about what Christmas means to me.

Oh Christmas tree! Oh Christmas tree!

My favourite bauble, bought it for mum when I went on a school trip to the German Christmas markets.

Taking loving clothes to a whole new level with a dress on my tree!

The presents from my family before Santa has arrived!

Only my mum could find an Christmas card this amazing with all these beautiful handbags.

Bambi

Love my little tree in my room!

Now Christmas means something different to everyone but it can get so over commercialised in this materialistic world we live in. My religion isn't something I talk about much on my blog but what ever I believe that we should all think back to the real meaning of Christmas. I read a blog post the other week about someone's favourite Christmas films and she described the Polar Express as 'reminding me of the real meaning of Christmas' I haven't watched the particular film in many years but it struck a cord with me as it is not at all related to why we actually celebrate Christmas. I am sure you all know the nativity story so I wont go into detail but whether you go to church in the morning, watch a carol service on TV or light a candle for Jesus' birth just remember why we have this wonderful holiday in the first place.

Merry Christmas, I hope you get all you wish for and have a wonderful day with your family.

The Winter tag!

Hey Guys,

The other day my friend Levi tagged me to do this on her blog.

1) What's your favourite seasonal drink from either Starbucks/Costa or your cafe of choice?

Mine is definitely the Black forest hot chocolate from Costa. I love both Starbucks and Costa equally (Cafe Nero being my favourite) but at Christmas time Costa win by a mile for me.

2) What's your favourite winter accessory?

I am going to agree with Levi on this a big scarf is a must. They keep you so warm and go with everything, they have been even more stylish this ear with the insane popularity of the blanket scarf.

3) What's your favourite winter music?

Everything christmasy. All the 80s pop Christmas songs like Wham, Elton John etc my favourite Christmas song is probably stop the Calvary by Jona Lewie. Although this year other than Christmas songs I have been listening to a lot of 5 seconds of summer and Taylor Swift.

4)What perfume do you wear in the winter?

This isn't a perfume but I have to go with my amazing body spray in Cranberry Joy from the body shop.

5) What candles will you be burning this season?

Yankee Candles amazing snowflake cookie. Which is a very sugary scent, quite similar to Lush's Snow Fairy.

6) What do you most love about Winter?

All the Christmas lights shinning bright especially when i have to walk home in the dark and cosy evenings with the fire on an a hot chocolate.

7) What's your favourite make up look for this time of year?

Again I must agree with Levi about it being the season to pile the slap on (as classy as that wording sounds) and berry lips with dark eyes is what its all about. Not forgetting it's the only time glitter is acceptable.

8)  What are you most looking forward to this winter?
Seeing the family especially my uncle and his fiancée who are coming home from Ireland for Christmas day and Christmas dinner.

I hope you have enjoyed this tag. Big thanks to Levi for tagging me.
I tag A South Wales blog (Levi also tagged Ffion so you have to do it now haha) Elizabeth blogs and  Little Bones blog
If you have done this tag please link it in the comments.

#coffeewithcurrys blogger event!

Hey Guys,

This post is going up so late. But hey better late than never right. Last month me and Ffion went into Cardiff to the Waterloo tea rooms for an event with Joe Blogs. Joe Blogs are amazing they organise events all over the U.K linking bloggers and brands together.
As you can tell from the title of this post the event was called #coffeewithcurrys it was promoting Nesspresso products. As a big coffee lover I was so excited. I had heard so many good things about Joe Bloggers events and I was not disappointed.

(warning: its a very picture heavy post)

We were welcomed with a frape. Yum!

The lunch was provided by Waterloo tea and was amazing. Everything tasted so good especially the salmon.

We were organised into groups to go round each of the four stations. First of we went to the latte art stand where we were shown the behind the scenes of coffee making he also demonstrated his amazing latte art skills.

We took it in turns to have a go.

This was my attempt.

Next we went onto the 'Cuppping' table.Cupping is using the coffee machines to try different espressos. So we went round each cup of coffee and slurped up some coffee trying to guess which ones were flavoured and strongest extra.

Now onto the coffee cocktails. This guy talked us through the cocktails and made one Vanilla espresso cocktail and one Toblerone coffee cocktail.

The toblerone one which was defo my favourite. Was so good!!

A chocolate raspberry frape.

Our final station was having a talk and a look at all the different machines and tasting a few of the coffees they made which were really good.

One of the best brownies ever.

We finished off the day with some amazing cakes from waterloo tea and some latte art and coffee tasteting and latte art.

Over all it was such a fun day with great food i need to go back to waterloo tea rooms for lunch one day, great coffee and lots of fun although being in set groups meant I didn't get to speak to many of my blogging friends as there were so many people at the event.

Have you been to a Joe Bloggers event? and do you love coffee as much as us welsh bloggers?
